Becky Wills - Glass Artist
I have been working with kiln-formed glass for almost twenty years. Initially self-taught, I trained as a Bullseye educator at their factory in Portland, Oregon and then began teaching classes at Warm Glass UK in their wonderful studio in Wrington near Bristol.
I have been lucky enough to become technical assistant on the master classes of many wonderful glass artists: Rudi Gritsch, Bob Leatherbarrow, Silvia Levenson, Amanda Simmons, Alicia Lomne, Tanya Veit, Miriam di Fiore, Mikyoung Yung, Nathan Sandberg, Catherine Newell and Jeremy Lepisto.
I teach many different techniques from the most simple basic foundation (An ‘everyone should know this about glass’ class) to advanced techniques including screen-printing, casting and mould making, pot-melts and vitrigraph, textures and weaving etc.
Glass is a very diverse and flexible medium and the possibilities are limited only by time and money!
My husband and I developed the Adjustabail glass hanging system and I also have a business partnership in ScreenEasy – an easy to use system for screen-printing on glass and many other materials.
Yellow Dog Workshops is my wonderful studio housed in the greenhouse of a beautiful Victorian walled garden in Wrington near Bristol. It’s a perfect space for teaching.
I am also an Annie Sloan chalk paint distributor and a qualified to teach the Annie Sloan painting techniques.
